MIX: To get started, you’ll open and mix the entire contents of Hank’s Refractory Cement with water. You’ll want to add between 3.75 and 4.25 ounces of clean water, while mixing into a paste. The amount of water will depend on your surrounding humidity levels. You’ll want the consistency of peanut butter. Once achieved, you’re ready to apply.
APPLY: Using a trowel, apply cement within cracks and joints no larger than 3/8 inch in width. Smooth the surface throughly until you achieve a semi-glossy finish.
CURE: Lay a plastic sheeting over the surface of the repair job and let it sit for 5-7 days. Once uncovered, it’ll require an additional 2-3 days to fully set.
